I have found many events/programs/drop-ins happening around Victoria during the month of February. I think there might be something for everyone!

For Families

Free Drop-in Toddler Time

Where: Lansdowne Preschool - 1456 Ryan Street (Victoria)
When: Wednesdays starting February 1st  3:30pm-4:45pm
Who: Children ages 0-4
Cost: Free!

This event is ongoing every Wednesday until Spring Break.
"A free playgroup for children aged 0-4! Enjoy our unique preschool environment to play with your child and meet other families. Lansdowne Co-operative Preschool is a great resource for parents."

 

Kindergym Drop In

Where: Gordon Head Recreation Centre - 4100 Lambrick Way (Victoria)
When: Thursdays 9:30am-10:30am
Who: For children 6 months - 5 years of age. Parent participation is required.
Cost: $3.00 per child

"Kindergym is a movement program designed for children and their caregiver to play together. Balls, hoops, ride-on toys, climbers and mats allow children to creatively explore. Staff will lead songs and circle time."

 

Fantastic Fridays at St.Luke

Where: St. Luke's Hall - Cedar Hill Cross Road at Cedar Hill Road (Victoria)
When: Friday February 3rd - 4:30pm-6:30pm (Continues on the first Friday of every month)

Tinsetltots ParentBabe Movie Matinee

When: February 13th - 1pm (This is a monthly event)

"There's nothing more beautiful than pink and white cherry blossoms in full bloom. Visit the library to listen to stories about the Japanese Sakura festival and make your own Japanese craft to take home."

 

Baby and Toddler Basics

"Parents, babies, and toddlers are invited to a visit from our Penninsula Health Unit nurse. She will answer all your questions, measure and weigh your babie or toddler, and discuss topics such as immunization, growth, and development, and successful nursing."

Going Batty

Where: Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park (Victoria) Transit: #70 or  #75

"Drop in and join in a batty world with CRD Regional Parks naturalists. Make a 'bat button', enjoy a 'bat walk' through the part at 11:15am or 1:15pm. Meet at the Beaver Lake nature centre."

 

Hummingbird Day

"It may seem early, but Anna's Hummingbirds start to nest in February and it won't be too long before the summer hummers, the Rufous Hummingbired, return for their annual visit. Join us for crafts, stories, hands-on experience and song."

"Drop in anytime between 1:00pm-3:30pm to the nature centre to discover all of the tricks of the woodpecker trade. A guided woodpecker walk with the CRD Regional Parks naturalist begins at 1:30pm. Meet at the Beaver Lake nature centre."

Kids Craft Club

Where: Burnside Campus - 3130 Jutland (old school building on the corner of Jutland and Cecillia - Victoria)
